Brussels, Belgium is a city of many facets. If you take the Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus for both routes you will get a flavor of this city. The Old City is a walking pedestrian cobble stone street area which extends from basically from the Central Train Station to in front of the Grand Palace with number of side streets. There are carriage rides, chocolate and food shops, gift shopping and lots of outdoor cafes and restaurants.
The new city buildings reflect the growth and new structures being built in the city. There are many different style neighborhoods reflecting the life styles of the people of Belgium.
Belgium is part of a canal system connecting Holland and the sea which was once a thriving distribution center for trade goods. Today other moods of transportation are used.
