Passau is the “City of Three Rivers” located at Km 2226 on the Danube River. Picturesquely located on the steep penninsula where the Inn, and Itz Rivers join the Danube River. Passau is an essentially Baroque city, owing to extensive rebuilding after devastating fires in the 17th Century.

Ama Waterways offers three tours:

  1. “City of Three Rivers Walking Tour”.  The town has many notable Baroque buildings and cobblestone streets, especially in the Old Town area.  You will see the city fortifications and St. Stephan’s Cathedral which is home to the worlds largest pipe organ, Town Hall, Domplatz, and the Residenzplatz.
  2. Passau Bike Tour which lasts two and a half hours.  You will be riding along the Inn River and the Old Town of Passau.
  3. Passau Castle Hike for two hours.  Walk through the town of Passau to visit the Veste Oberhaus on Passau’s Castle Hill.
