COPENHAGEN HOP-ON-HOP OFF BUS

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Hop-On-Hop-Off Bus is a great way to visit Copenhagen for a few days.   Tickets maybe purchased on line at www.stromma.com/copenhagen ahead of time or your hotel concierge desk or at the ticket office.  The best offer for a full day for all bus lines and the canal boat tour is 250 DKK or 35 Euros per person.  There are multiple choices so check out which ticket is best for you.  There is also a ticket office in Nyhaven 3, 1051 Kobenhagen K which is open from 9:00 AM to 18:00 PM.  There are three different bus routes and one canal route.

The Red Line

The red line bus lasts one hour and a half and takes you through the historical parts of the city.  Stop One is around the corner from the trainstation and will take you to Nyhavn, Amalienbourg Palace, Gefion Fountain, The Little Mermaid, Rosenborg Castle, National Museum of Denmark,  Tivoli Garden. shopping malls, the Black Diamond and Stroget.  The architecture is both old and new;  notice the window treatments and the decorations on the buildings;  bikes, pedestrians, and canal boat are all over the city;  and finally there is something to see in every direction

The Green Line

 

The Green Line covers local neighborhoods, green parks, shopping, bars and cafes.  You will pass by Tivoli Gardens, Frederikeberg Shopping Mall, Royal Copenagen Outlet, Frederiksberg Garden, zoo, and the meatpacking district.  This tour is 45 minutes long.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Purple Line

The Purple Line is 55 minutes long.  You will go to Freetown Christiania.  Hop off the bus to explore but don’t bring your camera.  Christiania frowns on pictures being taken.  You will find street food, art works, houseboats and cozy cafes.  This bus will take you past the Opera House, Tivoli and Islands Brygge.
