When travelling from the USA to Europe or from West to East you will find most flights leave in the early to late evening and arrive the following morning. If you are like most of us you will get little to no sleep on the plane. When you arrive you will be walking good size distances to Customs and managing your luggage until you get to your hotel. Try to book the same hotel for two to three nights. Request an early check-in and you may be lucky. If you have to wait for your room find a restaurant and bar and have a meal. Relax and enjoy yourself as you are on vacation. Somewhere between 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM go to bed and get a full night’s sleep. Get up with the sun, have a meal, and begin your real vacation. You will find that you are refreshed and ready to start sight-seeing.
It is very difficult to arrive in Europe and hop on a cruise ship which is sailing that same day or join a tour group leaving that day. You will be so tired that you will sleep away two days of your cruise or tour. It is much easier on your body to spend two nights or more in a hotel before starting that tour or curise You don’t want to miss a minute of it.
