Crystal Springs Golf Resort is a great place to visit and a short ride from the New York City Area nestled in the Northwest corner of New Jersey in the Kittatinny Mountains. Activities abound in the winter, spring, summer and fall. This is a fun packed resort for families, lovers, golfers with loads of activites for everyone. You can do as much as you want or as little as you want.
There are two hotels on the property Grand Cascades Lodge and Mineral Hotel. There are three golf courses, outdoor swimming pools, indoor Biosphere, Spa, lots of restaurants, hiking trails, horseback riding, indoor tennis, racqetball, fishing, archery, lots of special events and many different stay packages to choose from. Located nearby is Mountain Creek Water Park, Mountain Creek Bike Trails, and the Appalachin Trail. A three day visit is not enough to properly see this resort. Plan on more time if you can.

Restaurants
There are many wonderful restaurants at this hotel to choose from and you will never have to go outside the building. It is wise to book all your restaurant reservations well before you arrive. If you have a reservation then you will eat and have a wonderful meal. I watched the restaurants turn people away who did not have a reservation as all the restaurants were fully booked at this resort. Those people had the choice of cooking in their room if they had a full kitchen or getting in their car and going off property. This holds true for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Plan ahead!
Spring Bistro
Spring Bistro is located just off the lobby and serves Italian food. In the winter time the table by the fireplace is warm and wonderful.
Crystal Tavern
Crystal Tavern serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. On Sunday’s they serve a brunch but you must have a reservation booked in advance. A seat by their fireplace is a great spot in the winter. The views out the glass windows are fantastic. There is also a bar should you decide on a drink only. Of course in the morning the bar serves coffee. Their lunch menu is very inviting with lots of pub style food.
Restaurant Latour
Restaurant Latour is dining at it’s finast! Meet your escort outside the Crystal Tavern and take the elevator up. This special room has floor to ceiling windows and is a perfect view of the mountains at sunset. The menu pairs the wine with the food should you want to choose their wine paring option. The wine list goes on forever and is one of the best I’ve ever seen. It is not surprising once you view their wine cellar. This is a very romantic dinner with candle lights and fine dining courses spread out so you can relax and enjoy yourself. Plan on spending the evening here.
Wine Cellar Tour and Tasting
You will learn a lot about wines especially the wines in this cellar. This is truly a wine lovers collection to behold. The wines range in price, age, and type from very reasonable to very, very, expensive. You will see many wines that you will never be able to afford to taste but you can take a picture of the bottles.
BioSphere and Spa
The BioSphere and Spa are located on the lower level. The BioSphere is especially important in the winter or cold months. The Sphere is under a bubble and is warm inside and heated in the water. There are plenty of deck chairs to lounge on. A hot tub in the gretto, slide for children, and a walk out into the outside heated area. There is something to be said about being in an outdoor heated pool with the snow on the ground. It’s fun!
There is a snack type bar for drinks and chips and there are dressing rooms. The spa is a full service spa and you will need advance reservation for services.
