“Queen of the Danube Tour” starts with the Great Market Hall where you can shop for just about anything Hungarian. Then board an Ama Waterways bus for a tour of the sights of Budapest. You will travel by Andrassy Boulevard, Hero’s Square, Hall of Arts, and the Jewish Quarter. This tour ends at the Castle District for walking and shopping before boarding the bus back to your ship.
Great Market Hall
You will proceed from the Ama Viola up the stairs to street level and cross the street to enter the Great Market Hall. You will find all things Hungarian from meats, spices, cheeses, pastry, and handicraft items. Upstairs you will find a fast food area Hungarian style along with plenty of shopping. You will meet the group by the back door and proceed to your tour bus which is very comfortable and modern.
City Bus Tour
Once on the tour bus you will have plenty of views of this fabulous city both from the Pest and Buda side. You will cross back and forth across the Danube on different bridges until you reach the top of Castle Hill.
Once you reach Castle Hill and have walked around the Fisherman’s Bastion you will board the bus back to the Ama Viola. Budapest is one of the most wonderful cities to visit.
