Norwegian Breakaway Some Facts 
We sailed in the Haven but also used the Publia Areas of the Breakaway as well. Here is a little information on the Breakaway. The Breakaway is a Mega Ship with 3,969 passengers. Tonage is 146,600. Length is 1,068 feet. Speed is 22.5 knots. Crew is 1,651. I think you can see how important sailing in the Haven is based on the number of passengers this ship carries.
Norwegian sails with a free cruising policy so there is no pre-set dining times or space. There are 29 restaurants with 9 being no charge ½ are full service and ½ are buffet areas. Some restaurants are walk ins and some need reservations. As we travelled in the Haven our Specialty Restaurants were booked 100 days before we sailed so we got our choice times and seatings. Just another reason to sail in the Haven.
Tipping policy is $12.50 a day per person and is added to your bill daily while sailing. For Haven the Concierge needs a separate tip. A 15 Percent tip is added to all drinks so no separate tipping is required for drinks.
Non Haven passengers board the ship at Noon but the cabins are not available until 3:00 PM but your carry on luggage can be checked into the Bliss Lounge between 12:00 Noon and 1:30 PM. Haven carry on stays with you and you will be escorted to the courtyard for lunch and a tour of the courtyard.

The Center of the Breakaway is always changing color. It is so much fun to walk on all three floors and view all the lights and color. This is a great people watching spot. Many of the Specialty Restaurants, Bars, and Casino connect though this area.
