Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada
In Halifax we took the Peggy Cove Tour then the Hop On Hop Off bus to be able to see the Titanic Museum and the harbor front. There is a walkway spaning the length of the harbor with wonderful views, shops, and restaurants. Halifax also has a brewery and a pub tour. You can even just stay on the ship and study all the activity going on in the harbor. As you sail out a lone bagpiper will be playing as the ship sails out. Sometimes the bagpiper meets the ship as it docks. Halifax is a very colorful city.
Peggy’s Cove
Peggy’s Cove is a delightful fishing village and home to the Peggy’s Cove lighthouse. You can enjoy the views, have a cup of coffee, visit the gift shop, or buy a painting of the the cove. If you have children with you they will enjoy climbing the many rocks around the lighthouse area.
Bay of Fundy National Park
On a day tour from Halifax you will be able to stop at the village and see a covered bridge as well as do a little shopping. Most tours have a lunch on the rock beach in a quaint shack. If the tide is right you will be able to walk over and see the carved out rocks at low tide.
